Most People do not know that it is their right to choose which shop does the repairs on their vehicle. Most insurance companies will try to direct their clients to “Their Recommended Shops” and this is actually illegal. It is called “Steering”.
All insurance companies have shops that they have made special “deals” with, to save them money. This is good for the insurance companies, but bad for you. The quality of the workmanship is usually poor in these shops and used or substandard aftermarket parts are used routinely to save the insurance company money.
